inspiration
Music that Sarah creates and records to share with you and the world is motivated only by the reflections, themes and stories that have positively affected her own life. She finds that her vocal and instrumental music often explores spiritual themes that help us to reflect on the meaning and purpose of life and the role of humanity in contributing to a better world.
Often, she finds that certain passages from the Sacred writings of the Bahá'í Faith inspire her, resulting in her creating compositions that highlight her favourite verses as the lyrics of her songs.
music education
As a music educator, Sarah is assisting growing numbers to develop skills in playing the violin, piano, ukulele, or guitar, and apply their instrumental (and vocal) talents towards the betterment of their communities.
That is, just as she is trying to learn how to do so through her own efforts as a musician, Sarah finds joy in helping fellow musician grow in their ability to use music to connect diverse people together while sharing positive and uplifting and unifying messages through their music.
the beginnings
At four years of age, Sarah began her music journey with the piano and, according to her parents, requested to have violin lessons after seeing an older child in the community playing on the violin. Since then, the violin has remained as her favourite instrument.
In her teenage years, she realized she could create her own music to sing with the piano. After some time, she began to teach herself how to play on the guitar, then the ukulele, to have easier options to sing with while travelling to various events and community gatherings.
evolving music with a community
One of Sarah's first compositions, Garden of Thy Heart, marked the onset of her journey to compose her own music; this composition was inspired by a verse by Bahá'u'lláh and featured as the song's lyrics. Sarah had been invited by a music producer, Jarome Matthew, in 2009 to record this composition in a studio in order to contribute the track for an album, Mosaics of the Spirit, which was used to fundraise for the arts.Much of Sarah's music has became her way to invite gatherings of friends to sing together and to uplift the hearts. Sarah always seeks to share and teach her compositions with others in community settings. To encourage growing participation in music, Sarah has been offering lessons and group workshops on an ongoing basis.Since recording Garden of Thy Heart in 2009, Sarah's compositions, sound, style, and performance has evolved. She has released many tracks since then and is in the process of recording many more songs for release.
local to global
Seeing the power of music to bring diverse peoples closer together in joy, friendship and unity has motivated Sarah to continue composing more music to share with her community throughout her years as a youth until today. Now, she is simply extending her sharing - to share her music with the global community, should any of her music bring some joy and solace to the hearts of others.

ABOUT "TO THE LAST BREATH":"To the Last Breath" is an original reflective piano and violin instrumental composition that echos the feeling of one's heart in devotion to fulfilling one's noble purpose in life. This piece was inspired through Sarah's reflections on those who have dedicated their moments and lives towards the betterment of humanity, ultimately sacrificing all their waking moments to devote their efforts towards a better future. The violin featured in this piece carries the sweetness of the feelings of the love and devotion expressed by such dedicated human beings until their very last breath, like a candle giving its own life away in order to give light.COMPOSITION - Sarah Mohebiany

Bahá'í-Inspired Songs
ABOUT "THE DAY WILL COME":The lyrics of the song feature the words of the Báb, selected from the Sacred scriptures of the Bahá'í Faith, set to a vocal-instrumental composition by Sarah Mohebiany. This track, "The Day Will Come" is a reverent vocal and piano music set to the very last words uttered by the Báb just moments before He was martyred on July 9, 1850 in Tabríz by order of the Prime Minister of the Persian Empire. The Báb was executed only because of fear of His quickly spreading influence and teachings. The Báb promulgated that the Promised One mentioned by all religions was soon to appear.
Bahá'ís recognize that the Báb was preparing and heralding the way for Bahá'u'lláh, the Messenger of God who founded the Bahá'í Faith.
(www.Bahai.org)The song is being released for friends around the world to listen to for personal reflection and meditation, and for sharing during community programs dedicated to commemorating the day of the Martyrdom of the Báb, which is recognized as a Bahá'i Holy Day.The lyrics featured are the last words of the Báb:“O wayward generation!” were the last words of the Báb to the gazing multitude, as the regiment prepared to fire its volley, “Had you believed in Me every one of you would have followed the example of this youth, who stood in rank above most of you, and would have willingly sacrificed himself in My path. The day will come when you will have recognized Me; that day I shall have ceased to be with you.”(God Passes By, by Shoghi Effendi. Sarah has now released this track to share with her listeners worldwide, to give them a glimpse into how her music composition journey started, as she prepares her next song releases in the studio. As the cover art for "Garden of Thy Heart", Sarah chose to feature a couple of the vibrant roses that caught her eye while walking through the gardens in Bahjí that surround the resting place of Bahá'u'lláh, Prophet-Founder of the Bahá'í Faith, whose Writings are featured as the lyrics and inspiration for this musical composition. The lyrics were arranged based on this quotation:"O FRIEND!
In the garden of thy heart plant naught but the rose of love, and from the nightingale of affection and desire loosen not thy hold.
